Tehran palace hosts half a mil­lion vis­i­tors in au­tumn

TEHRAN — Some half a mil­lion peo­ple toured the Sa’dabad Cul­tural-His­tor­i­cal Com­plex in north­ern Tehran dur­ing au­tumn, which shows a 40 per­cent yearon-year growth.

Of the num­ber, about 20,000 were for­eign na­tion­als, IRNA re­ported. Sprawled on about 110 hectares of a moun­tain­side park­land, the Sa’dabad com­plex was once a royal sum­mer res­i­dence dur­ing Qa­jar era (1789–1925) and its sub­se­quent Pahlavi epoch (1925–1979).
