Star-studded event marks Prince’s BFI patronage
THE Prince of Wales has attended a star-studded event at the British Film Institute (BFI) to mark the 40th anniversary of Charles’ patronage of the organisation.
During the visit, Charles chatted with Hollywood actor Tom Hiddleston and met with young film-makers who have trained with the BFI Academy.
He also indulged in his passion for the Pink Panther films starring Peter Sellers, who was a member of the royal’s beloved Goons. He was shown Sellers’ script from the Pink Panther Strikes Again with handwritten notes by the comic actor.
Yesterday was also a busy day for his daughter-in-law, the Duchess of Sussex who joined university leaders and academics to explore how higher education can address human trafficking, modern slavery and gender equality at a meeting of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) at King’s College London.
Meghan took part in discussions and the event follows her speech to students in Fiji in October.
She spoke at the time of her “personal feeling of pride and excitement” when she studied for her degree.
