The UK can look forward to a bright future of global trade if it simply walks away from Europe

-

EVER since the citizens of the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, those that have vowed to overturn the democratic will of the people have been using fear, hysteria and rumour in the vain hope of changing the result.

The Withdrawal Deal reached by Theresa May is so weak and destructive that many now believe the only union she cares about is the EU and that, as a Remainer, she agreed to such a bad deal because she secretly wants to stay in the EU.

As we approach Brexit day, every opportunity to spread more fear and rumour will be used in the futile attempt to change the people’s will. Recent economic forecasts by EU-biased institutions, such as the Bank of England and business groups, have continued to play on people’s fears. The predictions of doom and gloom are without proper basis, with data being ignored to push forward their pro-Remain objective.

Project Fear knows no bounds, with terms like ‘crashing out’, ‘train wreck’ and ‘hard Brexit’ being used by many describing a proper, simple Brexit. The threat of a return to political violence is used by others. These hysterical comments are designed with one purpose in mind: to delay, or stop, Brexit. When you consider we, as citizens or business owners, have had over two years to prepare for Brexit, how can it be such a shock to the system if we simply leave the EU without a deal?

The reasons why we voted to leave the EU are still as valid now as at the time of the referendum. The EU’s bullying attitude, unwillingness to change, mindset to penalise and refusal to negotiate are reason enough to make a clean break.

Walking away from the EU will ensure we have a bright future of global trade and business, unshackled from the control of Brussels.
