Topaz secures 11 station jobs
THE COUNTRY’S largest fuel and convenience retailer, Topaz, has secured the future of 11 jobs by investing in the station on Ashford’s Main Street.
Over the past two months Topaz has invested €1.35 million in five Leinster petrol stations which were all set to close.
They include the station in Ashford, as well as petrol stations in Athy and Newbridge in Kildare and Mullingar and Athlone in Westmeath, saving a total of 82 jobs in the process.

‘As a fully Irish owned and managed company we know the importance of job generation and protection, especially in the current environment. We have ambitious plans for all five sites and we are looking forward to providing an excellent service to the local communities where they are based. While current market conditions are challenging, Topaz is continuing to grow its business.
