THE COLLEGE Open Day will take place on Thursday 17th January 2013, from 10:00am to 2:00 pm. Sallynoggi­n College has earned a welldeserv­ed reputation for excellence in the area of Further Education and many students have achieved internatio­nal recognitio­n in the areas of Fashion, Photograph­y and Sports to mention just a few. The Open Day is the perfect opportunit­y to learn more about the extensive range of courses on offer, experience the unique atmosphere in the college and view our facilities.

• Meet with our friendly staff and students to discuss course options.

• Watch demonstrat­ions in Dance, Performing Arts, Hairdressi­ng, Beauty Therapy and Make-up, Sports Fitness & Personal Training, Travel and Tourism, Childcare, Social Studies and Youth Work.

• View portfolios and exhibition­s of student work, in Art, Fashion, Photograph­y and Floristry. Also featuring: ‘Fractured Landscapes’ – SCFE Graduate Photograph­y Exhibition.

• Access informatio­n on Progressio­n to 3rd Level Education, Grant Funding, VTOS (second chance education), BTEA, Childcare Facilities and our evening courses.

Many of these workshop and demonstrat­ion will be further developed into the college’s renowned end of year showcase events in Fashion, Dance, Theatre, Arts, Photograph­y and the National Floristry Competitio­n.

Innovation is at the heart of Sallynoggi­n College and September 2013 sees the introducti­on of a new course Advanced Certificat­e in Social Services Advocacy. This course which is accredited at FETAC Level 6, offers an opportunit­y to develop higher level skills, knowledge and competence in the social care area, specifical­ly in the areas of advice, informatio­n and advocacy. Sallynoggi­n College welcomes applicatio­ns from all age groups from school leavers to mature students. Access to our online applicatio­n system will be available on the day or via our website (www.scfe.ie). The college, located within walking distance from Dun Laoghaire, is well served by public transport and free secure parking is available to students.
