DONARD-THE GLEN
Our footballers have maintained their unbeaten run in Senior Division 1A ,we played Eire Og Greystones in Donard on Saturday evening in a very low scoring game.
The wind seemed to change direction every couple of minutes and the score at half time was 0-06 to 0-01 for the visitors with Darren O'Neill our only scorer.
Alan Daly raised the white flag early in the second half and it looked as if we were not going to score again until Ed Flynn scored a soccer style goal to leave for an exciting finish.
Manager Mervin O'Neill made a brave move when he brought in young Des Mann and he scored two crucial points.
The opposition managed just one point in the second period to leave the final score all square at 1-04 to 0-07.
Our team was Jim Corrigan, Clifford Grace, Brendan Daly, Kevin Osbourne, Bill Flynn, Alan Tutty, Eoin Kelly, John Handbidge, George Finlay, Darren O'Neill, Brian Lennon, Alan Daly, Pat Flynn, Harry Mangan, Ed Flynn. Subs: Ronan Conron and Des Mann.

Senior Hurling - Round 2 Dublin League - Bray Emmets 0-21, St. Kevins 2-07 - On Sunday morning Bray travelled to Dolphin Park in Synge Street in their second game in the Dublin League.
Bray were under pressure early as the home side settled quickly.
Once Bray got to grips with the tight pitch they began to exert some influence on the game. The scores were level at half time Bray 0-9 to Kevin's 16. Bray were quick off the mark in the second half with Tom Cash accurate on frees and the full back line coping well with their big opponents.
Bray’s superior skill won out against their hard working opponents with the Bray men running out victors. That makes two wins from two in the Dublin league with these additional fixtures adding huge competition to the Bray adult hurling teams. Next up are St. Sylvestor’s in Emmet Park on Sunday.
U-14 Hurling - The U14 hurlers played Dublin league against Erins Isle on Saturday. This was an excellently entertaining match, tough as well, and not for the faint-hearted.
The first-half saw nice scores from CianLohan, David Maloney and James Anders. At half-time, it was level.
In the second-half, great battling from Lochlann Dougan, Sid Hunt and Andrew Conway, built the platform for two excellent goals – Ronan McMahon's strike a particularly good one.
The players who entered the fray gave a 110%, with particular mention deserved for Tony Jackson and Michael Timmons.
The final 10 minutes of courageous, battling spirit was what really enthused the Emmet Bhre manager. Chríochnaigh na foirn earchomhscór, 2-7 an fhoireann.
U-12 Girls football - The U-12 girls football team played against Ballyboden on Sunday.
The game was a free-flowing, competitive affair, played in a very amicable manner.
At half-time, the teams were level, with Amy Butler notching up a fine point.
In the second-half, Ballyboden applied more pressure. Emily Cahill and Emma Doyle were very much to the fore, supported by the goalscoring Orla O'Keeffe and Amy Healy in the midfield. In the end however, Ballyboden took the honours.
Mar sin féin, bhí Brian an-sásta leis anbhfoireann.
Foireann: Amy Butler (0-1), Amy Healy, Clodagh O'Keeffe, Emily Cahill, Emma Doyle, Jordan O'Brien, Méadhbh Wogan-Murphy, Orla O'Keeffe (1-0), Rachel Messitt, Róisín Murphy, Sarah Lambe, Sinéad Quigley, SíofraNíMhidigh. Bainisteoir – Brian O'Keeffe.
