Had drugs worth €2,420

A MAN who had drugs worth €2,420 in his possession was sentenced to nine months in prison with the final four suspended for two years.

Chad Ryan (23) of 12 Wolfe Tone Square North appeared at Bray District Court last Thursday where he entered a plea of guilty.

Garda Glenn Quinn said that he stopped a car on the N11 at the Fassaroe flyover on August 4.

Garda Quinn said that Ryan was one of the occupants of the car. There as a search and Ryan was found in possession of 197 tablets and 5.4 grams of MDMA, and one tablet of alprazolam. The total value of the drugs was €2,420.

The 23-year-old admitted ownership. He received a sentence of nine months with the final four months suspended for two years.
