Carer stole syrup and cheese from Dunnes Stores
A MAN who took cheese and syrup from Dunnes food store in Bray had 83 previous convictions.
Stephen Smyth (40) from Cabinteely was in Bray District Court last Thursday.
‘He doesn’t dispute the fact that here is a long history of offending,’ said solicitor Conway O’Hara.
‘He knows this crime is a nuisance to local shopkeepers.’
Smyth has access to his two teenage children and is a full time carer to his father. The court heard that he is currently stable on 70ml methadone.
Judge David Kennedy handed down an eightmonth suspended sentence and a fine of €750.
