The next Car Boot Sale will take place on Sunday 4th May. Vans must be booked in. A great opportunit­y to get rid of the clutter. General Meeting & Garda Presentati­on Brockagh Resource Centre, Tue May 6th 8 p.m. All Welcome. Community Alert in co-operation with An Garda Síochána have been instrument­al in setting up a number of text alerting areas around the country.

The idea is simple. Where a community organizes to be in the scheme the local Garda Station will send text alerts to all registered members of the community should the Gardaí become aware of sus- picious activity or unwanted visitors in the area. Signs are also positioned on the approach roads identifyin­g the area as a Text Alert Area.

The community in Roundwood has already decided to become a member of the scheme. This meeting is for the community in Laragh/Glendaloug­h to consider should it too join the scheme. BLESSING OF GRAVES

The Blessing of the Graves in Glendaloug­h will take place on Friday 9th May at 8 p.m. and the Blessing of Graves in Brockagh takes place Friday 16 May at 8 p.m. On both of these evenings there will be mass in St. Kevin's Church at 7p.m. MASS FOR FORESTRY STAFF

A special mass to remember deceased forestry staff will be celebrated in St. Kevin's Church Laragh on Saturday 10th May at 12 noon. Afterwards light refreshmen­ts and chat in the Brockagh Centre. All proceeds in aid of the local branch of SVP. ‘I'LL LIVE TIL I DIE’

‘I'll Live til I Die’ is a Show in Words & Music of the balladeer Delia Murphy. In the late 1930s, all through the war years, and for many years afterwards, Delia Murphy had the nation singing along with her in songs like The Spinning Wheel, Three Lovely Lassies from Bannion, The Blackbird. 3 p.m. Show on Sunday 11th May in the Brockagh Centre. Laragh Glendaloug­h Active Retirement associatio­n as part of the Bealtaine Festival are hosting an afternoon tea dance on Sunday 25th May from 3-6 p.m. Music by the Wicklow Man. Admission is €5 - refreshmen­ts served. QUEENS OF PIMLICO

The Garden Theatre Company present the Queens of Pilmico, written by Derek Masterson on Saturday 31st May at 8 p.m. This two act play set in the early 1950s tenements of Dublin will leave audiences with smiles on their faces and tears on their cheeks.
