GIVE A GIFT TO SOMEONE IN NEED AT CHRISTMAS TIME

-

THE ‘ Give a Gift’ campaign for St Vincent de Paul with East Coast FM will ensure that people with little else will get something for Christmas this year.

Not everyone will get a present this, or any year and the campaign is to help bring a little happiness in to the lives of children and adults on Christmas Day.

This is the seventh year of the campaign which has been very successful and inspired untold generosity.

However organiser Claire Darmody explained that this year the Vincent de Paul’s need in County Wicklow is greater than ever.

To take part and make the festive season easier for those who are struggling, simply drop a new unwrapped gift or toy worth a minimum of €10 into the East Coast FM studios on Bray’s Killarney Road. You can buy something special for a girl, boy, man woman, baby or teenager.

Just include a gift tag on the present to specify gender and age. All the gifts will be distributed by Vincent De Paul to the people who need it in County Wicklow. St Vincent De Paul ask that all toys and gifts donated are new rather than second hand. If you can’t get to the station you can drop gifts to Kidzone Wicklow, the Bridgewater Arklow, or Shoreline Leisure Centre Greystones. Gifts will also be accepted at Avondale Sports Rathdrum, Dunnes Stores Newtown, Londis Aughrim or Dunnes in Blessington.
