Exercises for blue flag

-

PUPILS at St Fergal’s took a step closer to earning their active flag, by taking part in Operation Transofrmation’s ‘10@10’.

This was part of a nationwide initiative to get children doing 10 minutes of exercise at 10 a.m.

The children enjoyed exercises from a special Operation Transformation classroom video, as well as the iconic routine to ‘ The Macarena’.

This team-up of the RTE programme and Active School Flag, is to help promote physical activity in primary schools.

The flags awarded to schools for progress they make in physical education, physical activity and partnerships.

Schools also organise an Active School Week programme and commit to have it as part of their annual school calendar.

The children and teachers all had a great time exercising their muscles, and are looking towards earning their blue active flag.
