JUNK KOUTURE

Well done to Áine Molloy and Sinéad Jordan, who have qualified for the Eastern Region final of the Junk Kouture competition. The dress, aptly named ‘The T ParTEA’ was constructed with used tea bags and coffee filters. The tea leaves were removed from the dried tea bags, then the bags were bleached and dyed with fabric dyes to create the amazing colours seen in the dress. Each tea bag was hand stitched onto the dress to create a floral look. The girls were chosen from over 1000 entries to be part of the final 80 entries and go forward to the Helix in March.

SENIOR CYCLE OPTIONS

Many thanks to the parents and guardians who attended the Senior Cycle Options Information Night last Thursday.

The importance of making the correct choice for Senior Cycle makes this a key event in the school calendar. Parents had the opportunity to ask questions about the different options available to students and inform themselves fully of the different programmes of Leaving Certificate preparation.
