Development site for sale in Ashford
A development site with planning permission for a large number of housing units in Ashford has gone on the market.
The site of approximately 3.65 hectares (9.03 acres) has been given a guide price of €1 million by agents Cushman and Wakefield.
The lands are located at Ballinalea to the south of the village, along the R772 Ashford to Rathnew Road, and close to the scenic Mount Usher Gardens.
The lands, and an adjoining site to the north under separate ownership, benefit from a single grant of planning permission for 142 residential units and a crèche. The permission was originally granted in July 2007 and has subsequently been extended for a further five-year period, with an expiry date of April 9 2018.
The site would ideally suit a medium density residential development, subject to planning consent, and potentially in conjunction with adjoining lands. Ashford’s close proximity to Dublin has made the village an attractive place for buyers in recent years.
