Bray Harriers raise funds for Temple Street Hospital

-

TWO CHARITY rides held by the Bray Harriers raised €1,500 for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

The two charity rides took place in Enniskerry and Roundwood back in September prior to the start of the hunting season.

This is the second year running the Bray Harries have raised money for Temple Street. Initially, all the names of children’s hospitals were put into a hat, with Temple Street the luck hospital to picked. The Bray Harriers now plan to make this an annual fundraising event.

Meanwhile, the Bray Harriers Hunt Ball takes place in Tinakilly Country House Hotel on March 11. Events will kick off with a drink reception at 7.30 p.m., with a band and DJ performing until the early hours. To order tickets contact Ailish on (087) 6401646.

The club was founded in 1780 and is a very active branch of the Irish Masters Harriers Association. The club currently boasts around 100 members from Wicklow and Dublin.
