Fab four bring home silverware
Four talented athletes were the toast of south and west Wicklow recently as they brought home medals from a regional competition.
Fiona Healy, Michael Connolly, Peter Kelly and Andrew Gahan from KARE in Tinahely rose to the top despite facing stiff competition in ten pin bowling at the Leinster Regional Advancement event at Funtasia Waterpark in Drogheda. The four players had to use all their skill and experience to produce some exceptional bowling as they competed in both singles and doubles events during the two-day tournament.
The staff at the KARE service in Tinahely have sent the players a huge ‘congratulations’ on their achievements and have also extended a heartfelt ‘ thank you’ to the parents and families who supported them over the two days.
The Leinster event was held as part of a four-year cycle organised and facilitated by Special Olympics Ireland ahead of the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi.
