The bad weather over the weekend saw some games cancelled but three went ahead. The under-10s were in action on Saturday and played a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Greystones. The Glens raced into a 2-0 lead before Greystones scored three without reply. The Glens then score another two to lead but in the last minute, allowed Greystones get an equaliser.

The under-13s were at home to Arklow Town B and won 4-0 with three goals from Luke Kelly and Eoghan Giles adding the fourth. This was a great performance from every player in horrible conditions. The Glens played against a very strong wind in the first half and led 2-0 at half time after Luke had got his first and Eoghan added the second. In the second period, they really dominated and Luke Kelly added another two goals to get his hatrick and secure the three points.

The senior team were away to St Patrick’s in Avoca and lost 4-3. They trailed 2-0 but fought back to 2-2 via Luke O’Callaghan and Simon Doyle. Pat’s took the lead again before Sam Kerr made it 3-3 at the break. The second half was a tighter affair and one goal sealed it which unfortunately was scored by the hosts. Simon Doyle and Sam Kerr were the best on the day.
