AWARENESS MEDITATION RETREAT

Meditation retreats are a life changing opportunit­y to deepen your meditation practice and enable life balance. The Glendaloug­h and District Developmen­t Associatio­n and the Brockagh Resource Centre are compiling a social audit to establish the impact of their services on the wider community. TIDY TOWNS

Our first official clean-up of 2017 takes place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4 (meet opposite Lynhams). We supply bags and litter pickers and would welcome new helpers. Please wear gloves.

AN EVENING OF TAX

Come along and enjoy a lightheart­ed look at various tax reliefs, tax-planning opportunit­ies, pitfalls etc. in the Brockagh Resource Centre on Thursday, March 9, from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m., free admission.

A wide array of topics will be covered including medical expenses, passing on a business/ farm during lifetime or by will, owning rental property, selling sites, young trained farmers and much more.

The session will be presented by Mel Kilkenny and Stephen Loughran of LK Tax Ltd.

FUN TABLE QUIZ IN AID OF IRISH HOSPICE FOUNDATION­S

Come along to the IFH seventh annual fun table quiz on Friday, March 10, at 9 p.m. in Lynham’s of Laragh. Teams of four people at each table with lots of prizes and nibbles.

CITIZENS INFORMATIO­N

The Citizens Informatio­n Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre is open for informatio­n relating to your rights and entitlemen­ts from 10 a.m. till midday on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The next clinics will take place on Tuesdays, March 7 and 21. No appointmen­t is necessary for this free and confidenti­al service.
