Films to raise fu GAA and soccer

- By MARY FOGARTY

THE PEOPLE of Enniskerry are going to the Oskars.

Enniskerry GAA and Enniskerry AFC have joined forces to unite the town, for what will be a spectacular event in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy, on Saturday, April 29.

In the fundraiser for the clubs, teams of volunteers will recreate classic movies. The films will be shown on the big screen at the Parkview next month, and prizes awarded for the creative offerings.

The actors have auditioned and the parts have been handed out.

At a launch night last weekend in the Powerscourt Arms, the actors found out which film they will be doing, and who they will join on the team.

A couple of parts remain up for grabs, so get in touch if you would like to take part.

The people involved are sure to have an unforgettable few weeks ahead as they prepare for the glittering night in Newtown.

For tickets or more information call Alan on (086) 1724212 or Dara on (086) 1741050.
