South Dublin County Council will continue to talk with concerned locals before any burnoff of hydrogen cyanide takes place at the rifle range in Manor Kilbride. The manner in which the disposal of the Rentokil cylinders leaked out has caused serious concern amongst members of the local community, who can count Cllr. Jim Ruttle as one of their own.

The manner in which the disposal of the Rentokil cylinders leaked out has caused serious concern amongst members of the local community, who can count Cllr. Jim Ruttle as one of their own.
Cllr. Ruttle met with officials of South Dublin County Council and Rentokil representatives last Thursday, and found the meeting constructive. However, he says reports that an undertaking to defer the disposal for a two-week period are wide of the mark.
Things have been put off for an indefinite period but no commitment time-wise was given. We exchanged views and submitted some additional questions which South Dublin County Council have to get back to us about with answers. Consultation is developing and I believe the council will hold off from any action at least
