Members raise €750
MEMBERS of Bray Hockey Club raised a total of €747.58 recently, at a fundraiser they held in aid of Purple House Cancer Support.
The day-long event was held in memory of the late David Evans, the father of a member of the club.
The day included hockey, a cake sale and lots of fun.
There was a raffle with prizes from Gilmore Sports, as well as Justin Bieber tickets.
The club members all pulled together to make the event a massive success.
Members volunteered to help everything run smoothly, by baking cakes, manning the stand, donating gazebos and furniture, and ensuring the tidying up was done afterwards.
They encouraged everyone coming along to wear purple in support of the organisation at the heart of the fundraising event.
