One man on the ‘mark’

-

ANY Wicklow GAA supporters who are confused over the new ‘mark’ rule with Gaelic football later this year will only have themselves to blame after a course provided by Wicklow GAA in Ballinakill on Monday night last attracted only one person from within the clubs of the county.

The course, facilitated by Wicklow referee Anthony Nolan, had been advertised online and clubs had been alerted via email and focused on the new ‘mark’ while also covering any other rules that required clarification.

However, on the night, only one person, a Newcastle GAA Club delegate, turned up for the course.

Wicklow Chairman Martin Coleman, who has been quite outspoken over clubs not sending people to courses, said that it be addressed in due course.
