Family sends thanks for fundraising efforts

-

THE PARENTS of a teenager from Roundwood diagnosed with cancer would like to thank everyone who helped to arrange or who supported a recent fundraiser held in the village.

17-year-old Evan O’Connor McGrath was diagnosed in November and some local Roundwood residents helped to organise a fundraising coffee and pancake morning on Shrove Tuesday held in Roundwood Parish Centre.

His parents, Mark and Andrea, want to thank everyone involved, from helpers on the day to members of the community who lent their support to the fundraiser.

‘We want to say a big thank you to everyone who made the coffee and pancake morning such a success, especially Elizabeth Belton for organising everything and Janette from Sugar Mountain for making the pancakes. We couldn’t ask for a better community to live in. The kindness we have been shown has been amazing and we couldn’t have asked for any more. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.’
