Girl injured after fall from pedestrian bridge over N11

An 11-year-old girl is recovering from her injuries after falling from the bridge on to the N11 at Kilmacanogue last Wednesday morning.

The girl suffered serious injuries and is believed to have broken both her ankles, legs, pelvis and had three discs inserted into her spine.

It is not known how the incident came to occur. The girl was rushed to hospital after the fall from the pedestrian bridge. The incident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Gardai and ambulances attended the scene. There was some traffic disruption on the N11 while paramedics were treating the child at the scene and ensuring her safe transfer to hospital.
