The under-10s played at home to Avonmore on Saturday and were very unlucky to lose 3-1. The team were missing star defender Seán Mooney for this one and all the team wish him a speedy recovery and hope to have him back in action soon when his leg brace comes off.

The under-11s had a very good 10-2 victory. Manager Alan Prendergast was delighted to see a few headed goals in this one, a thing that has been missing of late. Michael P render ga st got three, Luke Honan(2), a great headed goal by Billy Mansfield and Tony P render ga st, Ben Morgan, F inn Kelly and Reuben Smith completed the tally. Keep it going now guys.

The under-13s were at home to Wicklow Rovers on Sunday and recorded a 6-1 win.

Luke Kelly has been in fine form of late and hit a hattrick with Eoghan Giles netting two and John Fox completing the tally. This was yet another super display by the lads and a second hatrick in as many games for Luke. The Glens were 4-0 up within the first 10 minutes after a fantastic opening and now move up to second in the table.

The seniors faced Arklow Celtic at home on Sunday afternoon and won out 2-1 in a tight affair. Both sides had chances in the first half before Josh O’Callaghan hit an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net but Arklow hit back to level matters before the break. The second half was also edgy but Ben O’Callaghan has a habit of popping up with vital goals from the midfield and he did so once again on Sunday to seal a great win. Seán Holly, Simon Doyle and Ben were excellent on the day in a great team display.

On a sad note, popular young player Sam Kerr is heading off on his travels for a year this weekend to New Zealand. Sam has been a great servant to the team this year and everyone would like to wish him well on his travels. Stay safe Sam and see you next March.
