MEDITATION RETREAT

MORNING YOGA

Easter Vestry: The Easter Vestry will take place in the Erck Hall following the 11 a.m. Service of Holy Communion on Sunday, March 26,. 14 people will be voted on to the Select Vestry. While only Registered Vestry Persons may vote, anyone may address the meeting. Every year, several names are suggested for nomination from the floor of people who are absent on the day.
Frequently we have no idea whether the absentee is willing to go forward for election or not and so we have to reject the nomination. so, please do your homework beforehand and check with the person you would like to see elected to the Select Vestry. If you are unable to attend, then please do convey your apologies to the meeting. A Select Vestry makes these and many other decisions. Decisions which will shape things to come for a long long time. We look forward to seeing you there.

ST ANNE’S PARISH
Mass Times: Mass is celebrated in St Anne’s Church at 10 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (except August and September). Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30 p.m. Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8 a.m., 10.30 a.m. (Family Mass), midday, and 6 p.m.
Confessions are heard on Saturdays after the 10 a.m. Mass, between 12.30 p.m. and 1 p.m., and after the 6.30 p.m. Mass. Mass is now broadcast online and can be viewed by logging onto the parish website: stannesparishshankill.com and then clicking onto video link.
St Patrick’s Chapel, Loughlinstown: The celebration of the Sunday 9 a.m. Mass has now ceased in the chapel and will not resume till later this year when essential maintenance has been completed.
Baptism Times: Baptisms take place in St Anne’s Church at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month and at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. A month’s notice is required. Please contact the St Anne’s parish office located in St Anne’s Resource Centre to make your arrangements.
Bethany Bereavement Support Group: The Group are running a five-week support programme on Monday evenings, from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. from this coming Monday to Monday, March 27,. If you are feeling the pain of any loss, this series of meetings may offer support and consolation in a place where healing can begin. BOOK SALE
The April First Saturday Book Sale, which supports the Shankill Old Folks Association and Meals on Wheels, will take in the Shankill Old Folks Centre on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. so make a point of calling into the book sale on that Saturday morning and avail of the opportunity to pick up some excellent reading material for the Spring. Donations of books, other than school/text books, accepted on the day.
SHANKILL LIBRARY
Opening hours for Shankill Library are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and on alternate Fridays and Saturdays – the library will be closed this Friday and Saturday due to the Bank Holiday weekend. SHANKILL GAA CLUB
The numbers drawn in the club development lotto draw held last Thursday week in Brady’s pub were two – four – eight – 12 no jackpot winner. Lucky-dip winners were Eoin Keane, Frances Morgan and Caitlyn McGurk. The jackpot was a whopping €1,400 for last Thursday night’s weekly draw. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
Our Academy is in action every Saturday at 10 a.m. in St Laurence’s College. Cost is €2 per child, there is no annual subscription and all equipment is provided free of charge. Registration of players (outside of the Academy) and fees will be accepted at the Academy on Saturday, March 25, Our golf classic will be held in Woodbrook Golf Club on Friday, June 30, team of four players €300 and includes a meal.
