Windows smashed in orgy of destruction

March 1997

-

A BRAY primary schoool was forced to send 500 pupils home for two days last week following a night of mindless vandalism at its local premises.

And a repeat attack at St Fergal’s Senior NationSchool in Ballywaltrim on Monday night brought to 36 the number of windows to have been smashed at the property in recent weeks.

The most serious attack was discovered last Thursday morning however, when shocked teaching staff arrived to work to find that 18 window panes at the property had been broken in a spree of wanton destruction on the previous night. The first attack left the school with a repair bill of close to £500, and the second £200.
