First outing of year for golf society

The members of Plucks Golf Society played their first outing of the year last Saturday in Powerscourt GC. There is no doubt Brendan Finnerty loves his outings in this club and he followed up last year’s win on the West Course with a win on the East Course last Saturday scoring 36 points.

Mr Consistent himself Tom Byrne was second with 35 pts while Paul Murphy was third with 34. Category one winner was Paddy ‘Bounty’ Byrne, Category two was won by Trevor Carr (34 pts) and Category three winner was Brian Morgan (33 pts).The Front nine winner was Kevin ‘Kapp’ Molloy (20) while the Back Nine was won by Colm Griffith (17 pts). Mick Holly and Colm won the two nearest the pins on offer while Paul Murphy hit the Longest Drive.

The next outing takes place in Blainroe on April 15 and the Society Match Plays must have been played by then.
