PRENATAL Yoga is widely recommended by doctors, midwives and mothers as a holistic and supportive way to keep fit and manage stress during pregnancy, and to prepare for giving birth. In these classes you will learn exercises and breathing techniques that help relieve the aches and pains common in pregnancy, calm the nervous system and promote deep relaxation. We also work on positions, affirmations and breath work that help during labour. Many women and midwives praise yoga for helping women feel calmer and more in control of their birthing experience. after a caesarean (with doctors consent) these classes are relaxed but effective and a great way to meet other moms and babies in the area. Learn exercises and breathing techniques adapted for new moms that work on toning the muscles affected during birth and pregnancy, and that you can incorporate into your busy schedule by bonding and interacting with baby while you exercise.
