ENNISKERRY LIBRARY

The Easter holidays are just around the corner and the Schoolhous­e for art is the perfect place to keep your kids busy during the School break. With two weeks of art camps for kids from ages five to 15 the Schoolhous­e for art has you covered. Week 1: Monday, April 10, till Thursday, April 13; Week 2: Tuesday, April 18, till Friday, April 21,. From 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. each day. Our junior camps will cater for children ages five years to nine years.

Roundwood and District Community Council (RDCC) are holding an open informatio­n day in the Parish Hall on Saturday, March 25, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Drop in to find out about what the Community Council does from Tidy Towns, local Men’s Shed, Senior Alert Scheme, Vartry Walks Project, Text Alert Scheme, and more. There will also be an opportunit­y for you to fill in a survey to help us identify local community needs that need to be addressed.

Fundraiser for the Martin Family – Keep the date free. Friday, April 28, there will be a fabulous table quiz and rock n roll bingo in the Grand Hotel Wicklow. This is in aid of Cathal and Ciaran Martin (Aoife Brady’s nephews) It’ll be lots of fun, a fantastic raffle with some amazing prizes: tickets to the Late Late, a walk on part in Fair City and much more. CÚL CAMP COACHES

Do you want to Coach on our Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2017? Job Descriptio­n: Coaches must be over 18 years old on the first day of the camp on July 3. NOTE.

Coaches must be a paid up member of their local GAA club. A Coaching Qualificat­ion, code of ethics, Garda Vetting and/ or Coaching experience and/or evidence of voluntary coaching/ work is mandatory in applying for this position.

Closing Date for return of all Fully completed Coaches Applicatio­n forms is Friday, April 7. All selected coaches will be paid a weekly wage and put through the revenue system in accordance with Croke Park regulation­s. You may include any further informatio­n in support of your applicatio­n if necessary.

WESTPORT BREAK

There will be a Country music break to Westport from the 22nd to October 27 with day trips on some of the days. It will be a sixday tour with dinner, bed and breakfast and music every night with acts such as TR Dallas, Stuart Moyles and Mike Denver and many more. MEN’S SHED

Members of the shed will be present in the Parish Hall at the open day on Saturday next between 2 and 8 p.m. It is hoped to have some of our wares on display for sale or for a small donation to the shed.

The shed is open at Pat Carr’s place in Knockrahee­n every Tuesday between 10 and 12. Do come along and you will be assured of a warm welcome. The improved weather conditions means that our virgin gardening will soon get under way. Feel free to come along and get involved in the healthy, therapeuti­c growing venture.

The final lesson in the present one-t-one series takes place next Friday in Coláiste Chraobh Abhann between 10.15 and 12.30. A further series of lessons will be organised if there is sufficient in- terest. It is a great opportunit­y to learn more about mobile phones, tablets and laptops. A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at 8 p.m. Tea served.

SET DANCING

Roundwood set dancing continues every Thursday night from 9 p.m. till 11 p.m. in Kavanagh’s Lounge, Roundwood. Music this month is CDs and we will have the O’Kane Family back playing for us again in March and then live music for the remainder of the year. Admission remains at €5. Beginners are always welcome along with anyone looking for a bit of exercise and a fun night out. the jiving is finishing this week March 23 and then we’re back to starting set at 9 p.m.

ANGEL HEALING

Here you will be part of a group who know that looking after their well being is so important. You will learn how to meditate and be still.
