Man was hiding in bathroom

A MAN who burgled a mobile home in Britt as Bay was found hiding in the bathroom. Philip Byrne (28), 5Whitechurch Avenue, Rathfarnham, appeared in Bray District Court last Thursday. He had previously entered a guilty plea before Clover hill and the matter was adjourned to last week for mention.

The court heard that gardaí attended St aunt ons Caravan Park on January 15, 2013. They found two men hiding in the bathroom. There was a hold all on the floor filled with items from the mobile home.

Counsel Eoin Gallagher said that his client had asked him to apologise for what was a foolish and stupid act. He said that nothing was ultimately taken from the mobile. He said that his client held his hands up at the time. He said that Byrne has engaged in education in custody, where he has been for three months having accepted garda objections to bail. He accepts the seriousness of the charge and is in the court’s hands.

Judge David Kennedy adjourned the matter to May 15 for the production of a probation report.
