Well done to our members who braved the elements to walk in the St Patrick’s Day parade. We were delighted to see Fr Jim Hamell, recently retired parish priest of Annacurra, who was honoured by the community when he was selected to head the parade as Grand Marshall. Fresh local produce is available from farm fresh meat and vegetables, eggs, freshly baked bread and cakes, seasonal jams and chutneys and healthy options too. A lovely selection of warm Aran knits, jewellery and handcrafts also available.

SCHOOL FUNDRAISER

Avoca National School is holding a Monster Bingo Afternoon on Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m. in the Avoca Community Hall. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be put towards our next project which will entail installing some additional, all weather surface for the children to play on. Your support would be appreciate­d. Lots of fantastic prices to be won.
