Diverse programme of dance
DANCE students from Bray Institute of Further Education performed a breathtaking selection of pieces last week at Mermaid Arts Centre.
This was part of the college’s festival of arts, which is under way until the end of this week.
The show ran last Thursday and Friday night at the theatre and included a diverse pro- gramme of 23 different pieces. The pieces included original choreography by both tutors and students, as well as pieces from the ballets ‘A Simple Man’, ‘Orfeu e Euridice’, and ‘Dancing Bartok, Beethoven and Schonberg’.
The festival included work by drama, music and film students.
To finish off the festival there will be a final event in BIFE on March 30 and 31.
The sound installation entitled ‘Sonic Chambers’ is an interactive sound experience that puts you in control, without any need for musical background required. If anyone has ever wondered how the worlds of music and technology combine, this is their chance to find out.
