Most of the teams were in action last weekend.

The under-8s played Ashford in a series of matches where they drew one and lost one. This was a really improved performance by the Glens, who were well beaten by the same opposition earlier in the campaign, well done ‘Little Glens’.

The under-9s were in Arklow and enjoyed a series of matches. Seán Prendergast scored five, Luke Kelly two, Ross Marchelska, Kaiter Bareto, Oran Finnerty all scored for the Glens with the highlight been Kevin Chin’s first goal for the club.

The under-10s played Arklow and drew 3-3. The Glens trailed 3-1 at one stage but battled back for a well-de- served draw with the goals coming from Aisling Meehan, Reece Bradshaw and Alex Condon.

The under-13s had their first leg of the Cup semi-final away to Roundwood and trail 4-2 with Luke Kelly and Dylan Henry getting the goals. This was a game of two halves for the Glens as we were 3-0 down at half time and could of been more as this was our worst half of football all season. In the second half, the glens came out like a new team and produced one of their best halves of the season pulling the match back to 3-1 before getting caught while pushing forward for another to make it 4-1 but kept going and got a second just before full time to leave it 4-2 going into the home leg this weekend.

The seniors were at home to Arklow United on Sunday and won 4-3. Josh O’Callaghan had given the glens the lead but Arklow came back to level before Alan Hill and Josh again made it 3-1 at the break. After the restart, Arklow scored twice and it was looking like ending in a draw till Simon Doyle slotted away a brave diving header to seal the win. Simon had an outstanding game for the Glens along with Alan Hill.
