Footpath work to begin

AT THE last meeting of Wicklow Municipal District, Area Engineer Paul Byrne confirmed that work would start on the footpath beside Newtownmountkennedy GAA Club after Easter.

He added that the local au- thority had come to an agreement with local landowners. The cost of the project will be in the region of €75,000, though Councillors John Snell and Shay Cullen were disappointed that they weren’t provided with three independent prices.
