COMMUNITY GAMES
The area finals for the Community Games Talent competition is on April 29 at 7 p.m. in glenealy village hall. Anyone interested in taking part in the Ashford/Glenealy area please contact Sheila Driver at 086 8683395 before this date to enter, The following acts can take part in competition, Solo singing, solo music instrument, solo comedy, groups of two to six people can take part in the following group dance, group singing. Also the final of the art competition is coming up shortly anyone interested in this please get your entry to Carol Davis. presented at the club by Committee members Alex Sheehan and Mick Leonard.
The Society’s next event takes place on Sunday, April 23, at Woodenbridge Golf Club when we look forward to another day out and a further strong attendance.
THURSDAY WALKS
Great to see 34 participants out for our first walk of the summer season in Ballinakill/Ballinastraw. The evening started brightly but clouded up making for a gloomy finish. It was enjoyed by all despite being much overgrown in the latter stages. The much overdue card for the 2016 season was available and was eagerly snapped up to see if people could spot themselves.
This week’s walk is in Glendasan/Glendalough meeting as usual at the memorial park at 7 p.m. and Hotel car park in Glendalough at 7.20.
