Tenth BD Festival the biggest and best
WHILE the doors of hostelries all over the country remained closed on Good Friday, the BD Festival opened its gates to 4,800 festival revellers, as they descended on the beautiful surrounds of Glendalough House in Annamoe.
It was a day and night of festivities as the sold out festival event celebrated its tenth birthday.
Organisers say it was the biggest and best incarnation yet and fused a cocktail of music, art, community, cuisine and BYOB (bring your own beer) on a day where everyone else’s doors are locked.
The Live Stage played host to a broad range of acts such as festival favourites Smash Hits, energetic original artists R.S.A.G, funk-freaks TooFools, world music styled sisters AE Mak and Irish hip-hop act Rocstrong.
Across the grounds, the festival also hosted interactive and immersive art installations, while Toast and Wah-Wah Club held an aerial and acrobatic show on the Forest Stage.
