€4,000 raised for charity

-

TESCO stores across the county did their bit to help sick children recently, raising over €4,000 for Temple Street Hospital.

The Great Irish Bake for Temple Street took place on Friday, April 7, and Tesco colleagues and customers in the Wicklow stores bought, baked, ate and sold a variety of tasty treats to help the little heroes at the hospital.

Nationally, €138,000 was raised through the 148 Tesco stores and this money will be put towards the cost of constructing a new state of the art Ultrasound System and the purchase of new equipment for the Ear, Nose and Throat Department.
