1916 wreath laying

There will be a wreath laying in the 1916 Memorial Garden in Kilmacanogue at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, April 24 (Calendar rising anniversary) at 7.30 p.m.

After the magnificent work that took place last year during the construction and opening of the garden, the committee hope to hold an annual event marking the 1916 rising. Huge sacrifice was given by so many in the pursuit of Irish freedom and Independence. It is only proper and fitting that we recognise this. Minor work and improvements are still ongoing in the garden and a quick committee meeting will take place after the wreath laying. We hope DVDs of last year’s ceremony will also
