Another star turn for young Katie

A YOUNG Bray school girl was on top of the world when she scored a memorable match-winner in her schoolboy league soccer final this week.

Little Katie Taylor from Oldcourt Drive was the toast of her teammates when she planted the ball in the net to send her St Fergal’s SFC team on the road to a 1-0 victory in their U-11 Wicklow and District Premier Division cup final at Carlisle Grounds on Monday.

The cup victory was yet another memorable sporting milestone for the Bray youngster, who plays camogie and football for the local Fergal Ógs GAA club, is a county athlete with Bray Runners AFC, and is currently at the centre of a local campaign which is seeking to allow her to box competitively with Bray Boxing Club.
