When it did reach the top in early April 1977, it was the start of a five-week run at No. 1. The track was one of Abba’s biggest hits and the biggest selling single in the UK in 1977. It spent 10 weeks in the Irish charts, peaking at number one here. It was the Swedish group’s fifth UK and Ireland chart topper since winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, with ‘Waterloo’. They would go on to score seven more number ones in Ireland, and a futher four in the UK.
