The building process has been tendered out, and it is hoped that they will be in the new facility in September 2018.

This follows concerns raised by a member of the public about the centre, which is currently sharing premises with North Wicklow Educate Together on Putland Road.

She said that the BAEC students are using the middle and top floor of the Putland Road building and that at the Novara Road facility they are using prefabs to the back of the building.

Their new facility is located off the Civic Plaza, to the rear of the Mermaid Theatre.

‘Many of the students attending BAEC have had difficulties in mainstream education or are vulnerable members of our community and BAEC for the last 24 years or so have assisted in bringing many people back
