Soccer action

Not much action over the weekend but the under-13s and under-11s had games. The 13s had been given a walkover on Wednesday for their game on Sunday v Coolboy, who could not field a team but strangely, the game was back on Saturday to the annoyance of both managers and parents alike who had made other plans. The Glens took the lead through Euan Bowman but the Glens conceded two soft goals just before the break to trail 2-1. Despite trying to fight back in the second period, Coolboy added two more goals to run out 4-2 winners.

The 11s travelled to Avonmore on Sunday morning and put in a good display despite losing on a 5-2 scoreline. Luke Honan and Billy Mansfield got the goals.

The under-8s had a series of Friendlies with St Joseph’s of Sallynoggin on Bank Holiday Monday but report too late for our deadline.
