COFFEE MORNING

A coffee morning in aid of the Martin Family Trust will take place in the Roundwood Parish Hall next Saturday morning, May 13, 10 a.m. till 12.30 p.m. Please come along and enjoy a cuppa and some home baking. BLESSING OF GRAVES

The blessing of graves will take place in Glendaloug­h on Saturday, May 13, at 8 p.m. and in Brockagh on May 20 after 7 p.m. Mass.

BINGO

Fun Bingo will take place on in the Annamoe Centre on Sunday, May 14, from 3 p.m. Family members and friends are more than welcome to attend. €5 per book and great raffle prizes. Come along and enjoy.

LUNCH CLUB

WALKING GROUP

Now with the longer evenings the Wednesday evenings walks can take to the countrysid­e. The walks will leave from the Coach House car park on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. to take in some of the great walks around the Vartry Reservoirs. Do come along and bring a friend.

WESTPORT COUNTRY MUSIC BREAK

There will be a country music break to Westport from October 22 to October 27 with day trips on some of the days. It will be five night, six-day tour with dinner, bus from Roundwood and back, dinner, bed and breakfast in the 3* The Westport Woods Hotel and music every night with acts such as TR Dallas, and Mike Denver and many more. Day trips to Achill Island, Wild Atlantic Way to a pint in Matt Molloys bar. The price will be €399 per person sharing with a €90 single room supplement. A €200 deposit is required before May 15. Subscripti­on renewals (€10) are due for the Roundwood Text Alert Scheme. Lorraine at the Post Office has kindly agreed to accept renewal subscripti­ons for the scheme. Please place your €10 in a sealed envelope and write your name and mobile number on the outside of the envelope. Leave envelope with Lorraine at Post Office. If it’s your first time to register for the text alert, you will need to fill out a registrati­on form (these are also available at the Post Office) and pay €10 subscripti­on

ROUNDWOOD DANCE

The next dance in Roundwood Community Centre is on Friday, May 19, from 9 p.m. midnight with music by the Wicklow Man.

MONEYSTOWN DANCE

The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday, May 12, from 9.30 p.m. till 12. Tea served, refreshmen­ts also available, door prizes. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, etc.

Progressiv­e 45 card game on Sunday, May 14, at 7.30 p.m. in the Roundwood Parish Hall, Excellent prize money with refreshmen­ts at the break. In aid of the under-17 An Tochar GAA Team.

MUSIC IN CALARY

After a wonderful concert played by local musicians in Calary Church on Easter Monday, our next event is at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, when John Feeley (guitar), David O’Doherty (violin) and Moya O’Grady (cello) will play pieces by Vivaldi, Paganini, Albeniz, Piazzola. SAVE WATER

One of the categories in the Tidy Towns competitio­n is resource management and this year the Roundwood Tidy Towns group in associatio­n with Wicklow County Council’s Local Agenda 21 are encouragin­g residents to install a water butt to conserve water. If you would like further informatio­n on this initiative, or assistance with buying or installing a water butt please call 086 8055040.
