ST PATRICK’S
Wicklow People Go Games blitz hosted by St Patrick’s GAA with the visiting teams Rathnew and Barndarrig for the U7 and U9 footballers took place in Dunbur on Friday last.
It was a great night in Dunbur for the Go Games with so many kids lining out on a Friday night.
Well done to all involved with club coaches U7 Bosco Guinan and U9 Christian Czwalina. Special thanks to photographer on the night Janine Farrell.
“Where there’s a “Will” there’s a way!” Winners of our hurlers of the week were U6 Will Carey and U7 Will O’ Callaghan - well done to both and to everybody after a great turnout at U7 hurling training in St Pats National School.
Congratulations to Barry Fitzgeald and BA Franey who hosted Newcastle in Dunbur last Tuesday in the Junior ‘A’ Football Division 3 League.
In an entertaining game of football both sides did enough to win but could not be separated and a draw was considered a fair result. HT score: St Pats 0-5, Newcastle 0-5. FT score: St Pats 0-12, Newcastle 0-12.
Team: Colie Byrne, Sean Buckley, Bosco Guinan, Aidan Dunne, Matt Traynor, Shay Dunne, Simon Bouchier (0-02), Tommy Dunne (0-01), Ciaran McGettigan (0-02), Paul O’Brien, Adam Cox (0-06 6F), James Kavanagh, Jordan Pettigrew (0-01 1F), Johnny Carton, Ian Brannigan. Well done to Rob Hollingsworth and all involved with our Senior ladies. Bray Emmets visited Dunbur on Saturday in the Senior County League. In a game when St Pats were coasting they conceded a goal from a free late in the second half to set up an exciting but nervous finish. St Patrick’s girls dug deep and worked the ball back up the field to score and finished deserving winners on a final scoreline of St. Patrick’s 0-13, Bray Emmets 1-08.
Well done to Brian McSorley and all involved with our Junior ladies who took on AGB in Dunbur on Sunday morning. The girls played some beautiful football to run out winners on a final score of St. Patrick’s 4-12, AGB 2-04
Congratulations to Mark Donohoe and all the U8 girls who took part in the football blitz in An Tochar on Saturday morning
