ARKLOW ROCK PARNELLS

-

Our Junior hurlers played out a draw in the league last wednesday evening against Bray coming from 11 points down at half-time.

An encouraging start by the team. Adult hurling training takes place each Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm for both Intermediate and Junior teams.

The Junior camogie team played last Friday. Unfortunately they were defeated by Annacurra. A lot of positive play by the girls gave a lot of encouragment to the management team with something to build on in the future.

Camogie training each Tuesday and Thursdays at seven. New players more than welcome.

Well done to all the teams that played in the under-8 and 10 blitz last Saturday morning. Great to see a huge rise in popularity among our youngest players for camogie. Thanks to all who organised a very successful morning for the club.

Tickets for the Battle of Arklow Round Two can now be purchased in Maisie Kellys and The Corner House for what promises to be a very entertaining night of boxing as the Rocks try to hold onto their title as champions of Arklow v the rugby club.

Our weekly pot luck draw envelopes can be purchased from any club member or our chairman Vinny for €2.

Condolences to the Reilly, Newsome, Farrell (nee kelly) familes on their recent bereavement.
