Rathnew reach final

RATHNEW AFC booked a meeting with local rivals Wicklow Town in the Youth Cup final by powering past Arklow Town 5-0 in their last four clash on Saturday.

Kyle Devlin fired the Village in front early on and they doubled their advantage midway through the first-half when Jack Healy curled in a free-kick.

Rathnew made a lightning start to the second-half, with Antonio Alonso grabbing their third goal shortly after the re-start, and goals from Kyle Devlin and Cian Hunter wrapped up a convincing win.

Wicklow Town saw off Arklow United 4-0 in the other semi-final and the decider will be played at Whitegates next Saturday.
