Ann Kelly (RIP) Memorial weekend.

In memory of our late esteemed member and former Lady Captain, Ann Kelly, the Ladies club are unveiling a seat in her memory at Blessingto­n Lakes G.C.

Unveiling will be Friday evening, May 19, at 7pm. All of Anne’s friends/colleagues from the golfing and bridge worlds are very welcome. Refreshmen­ts afterwards in the clubhouse.

Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21, the club are holding an Open Mixed singles Stableford competitio­n in memory of Ann. Juvenile Golf Well done to Caoimhe Flood who recently won a Mid Leinster 9 hole event in Carlow Golf Club covering 9 holes in only 51 strokes.

Lessons for all Juveniles continue every Friday evening at 5pm. Men’s Club Results Bank Holiday Monday saw Keith Walsh (19) win on a score of 35 in “Blue Monday Singles Stableford”.

The Open 4 ball competitio­n of May 7 and 8 was won by John and Luke Messit with a score of 42 points. Opens The Club are running a monthly Seniors Open (over 50’s) on the last Friday of each month. Next Seniors Open is on Friday, May 26.

This is in addition to our Open Singles Stableford competitio­ns every Tuesday and Wednesday between April and October.
