Knowledge put to test

THERE was a very successful table quiz in Enniskerry recently, in aid of the Enniskerry Cardiac First Responders. They raised over €5,000.

Each person who attended was entered into a free raffle, with prizes donated by the local business community.

Organisers said that they got 100 per cent support from the businesses of Enniskerry and the surrounding areas in donating free raffle prizes, auction items and donations.

Enniskerry CFR are a group of residents of Enniskerry and the district who are trained in first aid and the use of defibrillators.

They are willing to respond to cardiac emergencies in the area at a moment’s notice and they work in conjunction with the ambulance service.

They meet regularly to practice skills, discuss fundraising and of course to have some fun.

Their priority is to establish enough defibrillators in the area to cover any cardiac emergency.
