COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to all our children who took part at national finals in Abbotstown last weekend. There was great excitement when our own Roisin Treacy won gold in Marathon 7km. Individual conditions were not ideal and she had stiff competition in the all-Ireland 1500 champion Saoirse O’Brien from Mayo. Roisin has been involved in Community Games since a very young age and sad to say this will be her last year competing in the games and we have no doubt that she is a star of the future in sport.

Well done to Naoise O’Neill, Noah Harris, Finn Harris, Oscar Durston mixed distance relays and Hedley Butler Swimming hope you all enjoyed the experience. Good luck to all the children taken part in the Talent Final in Glenealy on May 14.

Results of ART – the following children went forward to represent Ashford/Glenealy in the Finals Dunlavin: Sophie O’Neill, Luke Henkel, Mya Davis, Ellen Harkin, Mary McElhinney, Emma Traynor, Rory Little, Handwriting Oscar Durston and Kate Little.
