Fun day and family 5k in Newtown

A DAY of fun is being planned in Newtownmountkennedy to raise funds for a very important cause.

The family 5k and fun day will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m on Sunday, May 28, in aid of a sensory room and refurbishment of the ASD unit at Newtownmountkennedy Primary School.

Along with the race and fun day, the school grounds will host a barbecue, carnival and outdoor games, facepainting, penalty shootout and more.

Race entry costs €5 for children, €10 for adults or €20 for families (two adults and two children). Registration is open now online at www.popupraces.ie/newtownmountkennedy or can be completed on the day from noon to 1 p.m.
